Outpouring of support for abandoned pups

The pet-loving community has once again stepped up in the area.

After a call for aid from the public to help care for 11 abandoned puppies, the North Bay and District Humane Society happily reports 150 people volunteered to feed the puppies.

The puppies are thought to be only a couple of days old and were abandoned next to a dumpster and found yesterday with the umbilical cords still attached.

The Humane Society followed up its post for help with a positive message: “We are now ONLY looking for nursing mothers. More than 150 of you have volunteered to feed puppies! Stay tuned for updates.”

The original post concluded with, “Your help is greatly appreciated. Together, we can ensure these puppies have long, healthy and prosperous lives.”
