There were 11 collisions in the region from August 2nd to the 5th.

Two of those collisions involved motorbikes and OPP say they resulted in serious injuries.

There was also a fatal swimming incident in the Restoule River at the Dokis First Nation.

There’s still a bit of summer left and Nipissing West OPP say that still means busy highways for the next several weeks.

Police say with that extra traffic, take a little more time to get to your destination.

In addition, if on the waterways, were a lifejacket and regardless of whether you are driving a boat, motor vehicle or recreational vehicle, make sure you drive sober.
