(Stock photo) The North Bay Regional Health Centre saw quite a few people during 2018. The hospital’s annual report reveals 54,930 people came to the hospital’s emergency department in 2018. During that year the hospital saw 801 babies born at the facility. The operating rooms were also kept busy with surgeons carrying out 8,262 operations. If emergency department visits were busy, it was even busier in the out-patient department which recorded 75,093 visits. In addition, the number of visits to the outpatient Mental Health Clinic totalled 3,521.
