More activity as IPM draws closer

Activity is ramping up as the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo gets closer to taking place in Verner.

West Nipissing and area residents should start seeing and hearing more advertisements promoting the week-long September event.

That means ads on TV and radio as well as getting the word out on various social media platforms.

Past IPMs have attracted as many as 80,000 people in communities that have hosted the agriculture and farm-based event.

West Nipissing staff say exhibitors continue to register.

Mayor Joanne Savage has told her council colleagues to watch for a special announcement from Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre in connection with the IPM.

That announcement is expected to take place on August 15^th.

The announcement takes place almost a month before the IPM which runs from September 17^th to the 21^st.
