The pre-budget consultation tour was in North Bay Wednesday hearing from voters. Vic Fedeli, who represents the city as the MPP for Nipissing, says the main message he heard was voters don’t want new taxes. But Fedeli says one thing is certain and that is the Liberals will raise taxes. The Tory MPP was referring to a government report that recommends adding a 10 cent tax to gas to pay for GTA transit improvements. Fedeli says this is the last thing northerners need. The MPP adds hiking gas taxes by another 10 cents is a sure way to block businesses from creating jobs in Ontario.
