The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority is downgrading the flood watch for Lake Nipissing to a water safety statement.
The revised classification takes in the shorelines of North Bay and Callander.
In addition, the water safety statement for the Mattawa River below the Hurdman Dam is renewed.
The NBMCA says the water level remains high for both water bodies and continues to advise people to be cautious if on the lake or river.
Waterbodies in other areas under NBMCA jurisdiction are now within normal levels.
The NBMCA says the height of Lake Nipissing remains slightly above normal levels for this time of year and is still vulnerable to large rainfall events and a strong wind from the west.
The forecast into the long weekend is showing only a minimal amount of rain with up to 5 mm expected.
From Tuesday into Wednesday Lake Nipissing dropped about 3 centimetres.
