Warren and North Bay OPP doing criminal record checks for West Nipissing

West Nipissing residents looking to get a criminal record check won’t be able to get it done with the Nipissing West OPP.

The detachment is working out of temporary quarters on John St. and until it has its permanent home, the record checks process has to be completed outside the municipality.

Nipissing West OPP says the options are to have the check done by the OPP detachment in North Bay or the detachment office in Warren.

The person looking to have the check done will need two pieces of government identification and one of the IDs needs to have your photo.

If you are looking for a vulnerable sector records check or for volunteer work, a letter from an employer must be given to the police.

The cost for the records check is $25 and if you’re getting it done with the OPP in Warren, remember to have the exact change.

In the case of the North Bay detachment, payment has to be by debit or credit card.

The person initiating the records check must show up in person at either detachment.

A record check can take up to three weeks to complete.

The administration staff at the Warren detachment can answer further questions at 967-2913.
