OPP recover some items following break-in at Markstay-Warren

Some items stolen from a home in Markstay-Warren are back with the rightful owner after the trailer they were in was spotted in Sudbury.

The trailer was reported stolen on June 9th.

Nipissing West OPP says the theft took place sometime between 4:30pm on June 8th and 7:00pm on June 9th.

They say those involved entered the property and made off with the 21-foot long trailer which housed an orange 2009 Arctic Cat snowmobile and four winter tires on their rims.

But taking these goods wasn’t enough because those involved also broke into the house and made off with a 32-inch Samsung TV, a black snowmobile jacket, some booze and other household items.

The goods taken from inside the home are still missing.

A resident of Sudbury called the Greater Sudbury Police Service about a suspicious trailer on June 10th and investigators determined it was the same one taken in the Markstay-Warren incident.

The snowmobile and tires were still in the trailer.

The police want to find who was behind the theft and are asking the public to call them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.
