Nipissing First Nation is getting a $500 donation from West Nipissing council for the upcoming Charity Golf Tournament.
The event is held each year by NFN and it raises money for the Nipissing First Nation Food Bank and Little NHL Host Tournament.
West Nipissing has donated to the event in the past.
In return for the $500 sponsorship, NFN is giving council four golf tickets to the event.

However, council doesn’t want to create the impression that it’s benefitting from an event by using taxpayers’ money to secure golf tickets.
So it plans to raffle off the tickets.
The NFN Charity Golf Tournament takes place at Osprey Links on July 6th.
