Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, in effect for West Nipissing, North Bay, Powassan, Mattawa and French River.
Moderate to heavy rain is possible tonight into Saturday and total rainfall of 25 to 40 millimetres is possible by the time the rain comes to an end Saturday afternoon or evening.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas will be possible given the saturated antecedent conditions.
