The Minnehaha Bay Boat Launch is now open.
The municipality of West Nipissing re-opened the facility heading into the weekend and says it’s open to the public at no charge.
In addition, the Secondary Boat Launch at Cache Bay remains open but all other municipal launches remain closed until further notice.
The municipality was able to reopen the launch because the level of Lake Nipisisng has receded a bit more since it crested.
However, the municipality is again asking boaters to respect the no wake zone so you don’t damage shoreline properties.
