Sudbury police are now trying to determine the name of the person whose skull was found north of Valley East.
Police are also trying to determine the gender.
The skull was found about 6:00pm Saturday by two people.
Police cordoned off the area once they arrived and also contacted the coroner.
A cadaver dog was also brought to the scene as investigators searched the area.
