The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board has approved a 61-million dollar budget. The overall budget is up by 5-million from 2015, and the municipal levy increase up by 330-thousand. The board budgeted for over 25-hundred cases a month this year, up from 22-hundred in 2014. The 2015 budget includes funding to provide 24-hour ambulance service in West Nipissing.
