Angus setting tone for next session of House of Commons
Northern Ontario New Democrats say the economy and accountability will be their battleground as the House of Commons gets ready to resume. Charlie Angus, the MP for Timmins-James Bay, says the Harper Tories have mismanaged the Canadian economy. He says proof of that is the Prime Minister’s decision to delay the spring budget until April because of the oil price collapse. Angus says the NDP plan to re-establish confidence in the economy through several measures. That includes cancelling income-splitting which they say benefits only the rich.
