A total of six thefts have occurred in West Nipissing over a span of about 48 hours.
Four of the thefts involved someone stealing items from vehicles.
Police say one theft from vehicle involves someone making off with a wallet that contained identification documents and bank cards.
The victim told police the thief tried using one of the bank cards after it was stolen.
Another theft from vehicle police are looking into is finding the man who stole a woman’s purse while she was loading items in her vehicle in downtown Sturgeon Falls.
Police say while the woman was engaged in the loading activity, a man went into the vehicle and ran away with her purse.
Police are also trying to recover $2,000 in cleaning equipment in one of the other six thefts.
The one area where police made a dent was catching a person involved in a shoplifting incident from a business in Sturgeon Falls.
A 22-year-old man is charged with theft under $5,000.
Police are continuing their investigations into the other five incidents which took place from May 3rd to the 5th.
