Some changes made to Lynx contract with municipality

Some changes are coming to the three-year contract the Municipality of West Nipissing is signing with the Lynx Junior “A” hockey team.

One of those changes is how the municipality collects the advertising revenue from the companies that advertise their goods or services on the arena boards and Zamboni.

The municipality has decided it will no longer collect 25 percent of the advertising revenue.

Rather, it will now collect $100 for the board advertising and $200 for ads that appear on the Zamboni.

The change makes for an easier accounting process for all parties.
