Annual line flushing underway in West Nipissing

West Nipissing is continuing an annual ritual with the flushing of its water mains.

For the next two to three weeks the municipality is flushing lines in Sturgeon Falls and Cache Bay.

The municipality says if the water appears discoloured, residents can run the cold water tap for about 15 minutes and that should make the water clear again.

A consequence of the flushing is the possibility of sediment in the water and a change in water pressure.

Signs will go up in neighbourhoods where flushing is taking place to keep residents informed.

Verner had its lines flushed last week.
