The rain, above zero temperatures and melting snow are causing water levels to rise significantly in Nipissing District.
As a result, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has extended the flood warning for the district until next Monday.
The Sturgeon River has seen some flooding and residents in other areas of the district are turning to sandbags to mitigate flood threats.
For now, the height of Lake Nipissing remains below the damage level height, but that could change by this weekend as water levels continue to rise.
