CANO is on the receiving end of two grants totalling $76,000.
The larger of the grants, $46,000 is going to a community theatre group to help with an ambitious theatre project it put on.
The remaining $30,000 will be used by CANO to put on several shows and activities over the next three years.
The grants are from the Department of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism and the federal government’s Community Cultural Action Fund which is part of the Official Language Support Programs.
Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre announced both grants in Sturgeon Falls.
