Time is nearly up to nominate a West Nipissing business for next month’s
West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
The deadline to submit the name of a business is April 8th.
The chamber says only businesses that are registered members with the business organization are eligible to win.
This year the chamber has 12 awards up for grabs.
One of those categories is New Business of the Year Award.
Some of the criteria to keep in mind for this award is the business must have begun operating within the past two years and had to create new jobs.
The People’s Choice Award will be given to the business that receives the most ballots while if you’re a business that renovated or restored your building during the past two years, you’re eligible for a Beautification Award.
Other categories include Aboriginal Business Award and Lifetime Achievement Award and Agricultural Award.
Three categories for Business of the Year are set aside for operations that have 1-5 employees, 6-10 employees and more than 10 workers.
The remaining categories are Sustainability Award, Not for Profit or Service Club of the Year Award and the Best Tourism and Hospitality Business/Organization Award.
