Serre looking to recognize volunteers for the work they do

Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre has 20 Community Volunteer Recognition Pins he wants to award.

Serre is looking for residents of West Nipissing and elsewhere in the riding to nominate people whose actions normally go unrecognized.

He wants to recognize people who have gone above and beyond to make the community they live in a better place where someone can work and raise a family.

Serre says people can nominate a friend, family member, neighbour or work colleague.

The age also doesn’t matter.

Submissions should highlight in 150 words or less what the nominee has done to improve the lives of others around them.

The nominator has to include their own email address as well as the name, address, phone number and email address of the person they are nominating.

Serre has more information at www.marcserre.ca and the deadline to name someone for a volunteer award is May 31st.
