West Nipissing can expect a lot of extra gas tax money.
Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre says the riding is getting almost $1.4 million more from the Federal Gas Tax Fund.
Of that, $901,000 is earmarked for West Nipissing.
Serre says this is a one-time top-up which all ridings get.
He says communities can use the extra money on projects like road repairs, transit if they have it as well as wastewater and recreation facilities plus tourism infrastructure.
