Marc Serre is trying to make it easier for seniors to become more engaged by staying active.
The Liberal MP for Nickel Belt has announced $24,500 in funding for the Legion Branch 564 in Lockerby for a community hub.
The money is through the New Horizons for Seniors Program.
The community hub will help keep seniors active in their community by providing opportunities for them to socialize, make new friends and develop new skills.

One aim of the hub is to improve the well-being of seniors through special programs like line dancing with walkers.
The Legion has dubbed its program Never Too Late to Dance.
