Kepler faces more robots this weekend at Nipissing University.
The robot is the creation of FIRST Team 1305, the North Bay unit of Near North students competing at another regional robotics competition.
The North Bay event will see 35 high schools with about 1,000 students take their robots through a variety of tests.
The event is the fifth of several events going on around the province that Team 1305 is taking part in.
When the District competitions are over, points are counted and the top 80 teams across the province head to Mississauga for the FIRST Ontario Provincial Championship from April 10th to the 13th.
The local weekend event is free to the public and the competition is Friday and Saturday.
The previous weekend Team 1305 and Kepler were at a competition in Barrie where the robot was first after qualifying rounds.
