Two Sudbury men living next door to each other charged with child porn offences

In a bizarre coincidence, Sudbury police have arrested two men in connection with unrelated child pornography investigations who live next to each other.

Police say in one of the cases the accused was using file-sharing networks since 2016 to access and possess child pornography.

The second case came to the attention of investigators when police got a tip about an individual engaged in accessing and owning child pornography.

Police say both cases are not connected but with both men living next door to each other, they conducted simultaneous raids.

Police found evidence of child pornography and seized computers and data storage devices from both homes.

One of the men is 33 and he’s facing 23 counts each of accessing child pornography and possession of child porn as well as four counts of making child porn available.

The other man is 31 and he’s looking at single counts of access to child pornography and possession of child porn.
