UPDATED: SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT EXTENDED

Environment Canada’s most recent special weather statement for the area now includes some possible snow tomorrow.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • West Nipissing – French River
  • North Bay – Powassan – Mattawa

The national meteorological service reports 10 to 15 centimetres of snow and ice pellets likely by tonight.

Snow associated with a Colorado low is falling over Northeastern Ontario and will persist into tonight. Snow is likely to become mixed with ice pellets or freezing rain this morning.

Total snow and ice pellet accumulations of 10 to 15 cm are possible. Snow is expected to become lighter tonight, but will continue through Monday. Additional accumulations are possible Monday as well.
