The next few days will be busy for Northern Ontario mining companies.
The firms are at the Toronto International Convention Centre for the annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada convention where they showcase their equipment and services to other nations.
About 110 companies are sharing space in a pavilion funded by FedNor as they promote themselves to the world.
Several northern politicians were on hand in Toronto to kickoff PDAC including Marc Serre, the MP for Nickel Belt, his Nipissing-Timiskaming counterpart, Anthony Rota and North Bay Mayor Al McDonald.
About 25,000 people are expected to go through PDAC.
The participants are from 135 countries.
PDAC runs until Wednesday.
