TRAVELLING? BLOWING SNOW COULD CAUSE POOR DRIVING CONDITIONS

The end of this long duration snow event is somewhat visible through the blowing snow.

A special weather statement remains in effect for:

  • West Nipissing – French River
  • North Bay – Powassan – Mattawa

Environment Canada reports snow will taper off to scattered flurries tonight. Gusty northwesterly winds will still cause sudden low visibility in blowing snow in exposed areas this evening, resulting in poor winter driving conditions.

Conditions will slowly improve beginning later this evening as winds diminish and blowing snow eases.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
