North Bay police find drugs and gun in vehicle

North Bay police have confiscated $38,355 in drugs and charged two North Bay people after stopping a vehicle on Highway 17 coming into the city.

During the arrest police also found a .45 calibre handgun.

Charged with possession of a restricted firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm and unsafe storage of a firearm are a 28-year-old man and 20-year-old woman.

Both are also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime in connection with $1,270 also found in the vehicle.

The seized drugs involve 246 grams of cocaine, 54 grams of Crystal Meth, nearly 11 grams of meth pills, 4 Oxycodone pills, 2 Hydro Morphine pills and 2 Codeine Contin pills.

City police stopped the vehicle on Saturday.
