Bribe allegation prompts NDP to call for investigation

There are calls for a police investigation and Elections Ontario probe after a bribe allegation in Sudbury.  Andrew Olivier was seeking the Liberal nomination and claims Sudbury Liberal fundraiser Gerry Lougheed called him on behalf of the premier suggesting he could get a job or appointment if he dropped out of the race.  Then Premier Kathleen Wynne called Olivier and finally a third call came from the head of the Ontario Liberal Party.  As a result of the allegations, Gilles Bisson, the MPP for Timmins-James Bay wants Elections Ontario to investigate.  And Bisson has sent copies of Olivier’s allegations to the OPP commissioner and the Attorney General.  Days after Olivier was asked to step aside, Sudbury federal New Democrat Glenn Thibeault announced his Liberal candidacy on Tuesday.
