Church break-in punishable by eternal damnation?

The culprit involved in a break-in at the Sacred Heart Parish (paroisse du Sacré-Coeur de Sturgeon Falls) could face a reckoning worse than what the judicial system has to offer.

Last Monday at approximately 8:00am, West Nipissing Police Service officers responded to the church regarding a possible break and enter in progress.

The custodian alerted police and indicated that when he arrived for work he discovered the glass on the front doors broken and the lock damaged.

Officers secured the premises and did not locate anyone inside. The investigating officers report observing signs that someone had entered but at this time it is uncertain if anything was stolen.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about these or other occurrences is asked to contact the West Nipissing Police Service at 705-753-1234. For those who wish to remain anonymous, there are three ways to contact the Near North Crime Stoppers. Call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or submit a tip online at nearnorthcrimestoppers.com.
