On Tuesday, West Nipissing Police officers were asked to do a well-being check on a local man known to police.
Officers attended the Demers Street area and learned that the man had left the area as he was wanted by police.
The man was located hiding in the snow in a backyard in the vicinity. The man was arrested and taken into custody.
During the arrest police located powdered substances believed to be controlled substance, the investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
