West Nipissing "Stocking The Shelves Radiothon" an overwhelming success

This past Friday was a day filled with 12 consecutive hours of local guest hosts joining morning host Steph on the air, along with live musical performances, emotional stories of Christmases past and present and the unbelievable generosity of residents, organizations and businesses.  When it was all said and done, The first annual Moose FM “Christmas Stocking the Shelves” radio-thon was an overwhelming success with equivalent donations of monetary and non-perishable food items totalling in excess of $17000.00 for the West Nipissing Food Bank.This was all part of a wider Vista Radio initiative being held at the more than 40 Vista Radio stations across the country which raised over a million dollars for various local charities to ensure support and awareness of the underprivileged in our communities at this time of year.  Moose FM congratulates West Nipissing on continuing its great tradition of community support.
