West Nipissing police have charged a man with quite a few offences including possession of a controlled substance after he took off from a police officer trying to stop his vehicle.
The officer initiated a traffic stop because the vehicle had unauthorized plates.
Instead of stopping, the 30-year-old man drove away but then stopped a short time later.
Police searched both him and the vehicle and found a small amount of crack cocaine.
In addition to the drug offence, the man is charged with driving while suspended, driving a vehicle without insurance, using unauthorized plates and flight from police.
