Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre says the creation of a new ministry shows the Prime Minister takes people’s feedback and concerns seriously.
Serre says with the creation of the new Rural Economic Development Ministry, rural communities can become more competitive, productive as well as diversified.
Among the ministry’s goals are to bring more high-speed internet to northern homes and businesses and meet infrastructure needs of rural communities as well as First Nations.
Serre says the creation of the new ministry shows there’s still more work to be done.
