Tuesday is a big day in Sturgeon Falls. The West Nipissing police and West Nipissing fire department are honouring their own as well as the public for life-saving efforts. The service awards are in connection with an incident last July in West Nipissing. The event is attracting high profile people like riding MP Claude Gravelle and MPP John Vanthof. Mayor Joanne Savage will also be at the awards ceremony which takes place in the auditorium of the public library beginning at 11:00 a.m.
