Feds proposed invasive species legislation

The federal government is proposing new aquatic regulations to fight invasive species in Canadian waters including the Great Lakes.  And the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters supports the move.  The goal of the program is to block Asian carp and zebra mussels from gaining a foothold in our lakes.  The anglers and hunters group has been sounding the alarm over these invasive species saying they can wipe out native fish populations.  The fishing industry in the Great Lakes alone is worth billions of dollars.  The federal legislation will now go through a 30-day public comment period.
