SNOWFALL WARNING IN EFFECT

Snowfall warning in effect for:

  • North Bay – Powassan – Mattawa
  • West Nipissing – French River

Snowfall with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected.

Snow will begin near noon today and continue through this evening. The snow will then change briefly to mixed precipitation before tapering off to patchy freezing drizzle or drizzle later tonight.

Total snowfall amounts near 15 cm are expected.

The snow is courtesy of a large low pressure system that is expected to track across the Great Lakes into Southern Quebec.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
