North Bay will be looking for a new police chief.
After holding the position of chief for three years, veteran North Bay police officer Shawn Devine is retiring.
Devine has told the police board about his plans and next up is finalizing a departure date.
Devine is leaving policing to take over as the executive director of the Ontario Police Technology Information Co-operative.

The co-op specializes in police data management and information technology.
Devine has been with the North Bay police since he graduated from the Ontario Police College in 1988.
Over the years he worked his way up the ranks and assumed the position of chief in January 2016.
