Former federal Liberal leader Bob Rae says the Ring of Fire talks are progressing with the province.  Rae is the legal counsel for nine First Nation communities near the massive chromite find at James Bay.  He was the guest speaker at a Canadian mining institute luncheon in North Bay Thursday.  Rae was hired to find how First Nations can benefit from the $60-billion mineral deposit.  Development at the site seemed to stall when the largest miner at the discovery, Cliffs Natural Resources, suspended its development in November. Rae says despite this, his talks with the Liberal government to help develop the Ring of Fire site are moving along well.
