Robbery results in the arrest of three regional men

An armed robbery at the Henvey Inlet First Nation has resulted in charged against three men, including a 28-year-old from North Bay.

The man is charged with two counts of robbery using a firearm.

A second man, who is 18 and from Strong Township, is also looking at two counts of robbery with a firearm while a 19-year-old Trout Creek man is charged with a single count of the same offence.

The North Bay man and the accused from Strong are also both charged with disguise with intent.

The robbery took place on December 21st and the ensuing investigation involved quite a few divisions and area detachments from the OPP, including the force’s forensic identification unit.

As the investigation continued, police accumulated enough information that resulted in several raids which led to the arrest of three men.

In addition to the charges he already faces, the 18-year-old from Strong is also charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of more than four cannabis plants.
