The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board is feeling the pinch of the Ford government’s $25-million education cuts.
The board’s revenue is being reduced by $114,000 for the current school year.
Chair of the Catholic board, Judy Manitowabi, says the board “will be carefully examining the financial impact” the cut will have on programming in the coming weeks.
The Conseil scolaire public du Nord-Est de l’Ontario expects to comment on how it was affected by the cut in a few weeks while the Conseil scolaire de district catholique Franco-Nord did not respond to a request for a comment.
As was reported earlier, the Near North board’s budget was reduced by $307,000 as a result of the province-wide cuts.
