North Bay OPP got the call about the incident mid-afternoon Wednesday and that the accused left the scene before their arrival. During his getaway, the man drove right by the OPP cruiser responding to the call prompting the officer to turn around and pursue the vehicle. The chase didn’t last long because the man got stuck in a snowbank in a driveway and ran from police. When the 19-year-old man, who is from Huron East, turned toward police he was captured without incident. He’s charged with forcible confinement, driving with cannabis and two counts of mischief under $5,000.
