West Nipissing prepares for Moonlight Madness

Moonlight Madness is a day away.

The West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce organizes the annual event which starts just ahead of the Parade of Lights.

The chamber’s office manager and program coordinator, Michelle Schenk, says all of King Street is closed to accommodate Moonlight Madness which gets underway with the tree lighting ceremony at 5:00pm Friday.

This year in an effort to promote local shopping the chamber and businesses have organized a raffle.

Shoppers can enter to win a prize at each of the participating outlets.

Schenk says each shop will pull one name from the raffle boxes to win something from that business.

“Then I’ll go around picking up all the boxes and we’ll have a grand prize winner announced at the tree lighting ceremony,” Schenk said.

Moonlight Madness runs during the parade and continues afterward.
