News West Nipissing Police bust man for drugs SHARE ON: Rocco Frangione, staff Wednesday, Dec. 5th, 2018 It was the right place at the right time for West Nipissing Police patrolling the streets of Sturgeon Falls early Tuesday morning. While driving on John Street police spotted a man who eventually led them to about $26,000 in drugs. Police first saw the man walking early Tuesday morning and when they saw him a second time walking from behind a building they stopped to question him. During the questioning, police learned about a backpack hidden a short distance away. Police say they searched the man and backpack and found a large number of drugs and money. Among the drugs were 16 grams of Purple H which is a mixture of heroin and fentanyl, 17 grams of Crystal Meth, 13 grams of cocaine, a third of a pound of marijuana and more than 1,700 methamphetamine pills. The amount of cash in the man’s possession was $2,500. A 42-year-old Sturgeon Falls man is charged with five counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
