West Nipissing Council officially begins its four-year term this evening with the swearing in of the new council.
Mayor Joanne Savage will be joined by three returning and five new councillors.
Those re-elected to office were Leo Malette of Ward 2, Yvon Duhaime of Ward 3 and Roland Larabie of Ward 6.
Those elected to four-year terms are Lise Senecal of Ward 1, Dan Roveda of Ward 4, Christopher Fisher who occupies the Ward 5 seat, Jeremy Seguin who represents Ward 7 and Ward 8’s Denis Senecal.
Justice Pierre Bradley will swear in the council with the Oath of Office and immediately following the ceremony, Mayor Joanne Savage delivers her inaugural address.
The Mayor’s address is then followed by a private reception at the library auditorium.
