After 44 hours of being shutdown, a stretch of the Trans Canada Highway more than 200 kilometres long finally re-opened on Wednesday. Highway 17 from Heyden to Wawa opened up again to traffic just before noon on Wednesday. OPP shut down the highway Tuesday at 3:00 a.m. because of very bad visibility caused by snow.
