Mischief to Sudbury water tower solved

After months of having no luck, Sudbury police may have solved who was behind a mischief involving the Sudbury water tower.

In July, someone painted the word SKODEN across the word SUDBURY on the tower and police couldn’t find who was behind the incident.

Then police got word of a recent art event in Sudbury where one of the artists had painted an image of the water tower that included the word SKODEN.

Police did some more digging and determined the person behind the mischief and the person taking part in the art event were the same.

Police didn’t have to go looking for their man.

Last Tuesday, a 31-year-old man turned himself in to police headquarters.

He’s been charged with mischief under $5,000.

The cost to fix the graffiti on the water tower was nearly $2,900.
