The Indigenous representatives have taken their place with the area’s two large English-language school boards.
Judy Manitowabi will represent First Nation interests on the Nipissing Parry Sound Catholic District School Board while her counterpart with the Near North District School Board is Nicole King.
The honorarium structure is also in place for the new trustees.
The chair of the board receives approximately $13,250, the vice chair’s honorarium is $10,500 while trustees receive nearly $7,800.
