West Nipissing councillor Paul Finley has apologized for comments he made at council while discussing a partial return of the spring bear hunt.  The meeting in question was the last one of the year and council, with the exception of Finley, endorsed the bear hunt.  In opposing the resolution some of Finley’s comments expressed his personal beliefs on the issue.  Afterward he got a call from some voters who told him he was elected to represent them.  Last night Finley apologized for slighting anyone adding everyone is entitled to an opinion but he’s on council to represent all viewpoints.
